If you have pioneer ancestors who had already arrived in South Australia by 1860, fill in their family surname and click the <Search Pioneers> button or press <Enter>.
Don't be misled by the apparent simplicity of this search form. The three component databases (early settler arrivals, births and marriages) are simultaneously searched for matches to the pioneer family surname you entered. The records found are automatically sorted into family groups to help you visualize the line you're researching. Family group sheets can now be completed if you wish.
Unregistered births and marriages, mostly from church records of baptism and marriage, are included.
Many of the spelling errors and inconsistencies in the original source documents have been corrected in our records. Any that remain may give useful but out-of-order search results. If you discover any of these errors, please let us know at email@example.com so that we can amend the data.
The individual components of this colonial pioneers database give more information on sources and acknowledgments.
